Paired with the Polytron 8700 offers a gas library of up to 100 gases, automatically cross-calibrated with standard gases like methane or propane, no factory consultation needed.
- Easy Device Management via Digital Communication: Equipped with digital interfaces for remote interrogation and integration with asset management systems like PactWare via DTM. Supports common HART communication, and fieldbus interfaces: PROFIBUS PA, FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1, and Modbus RTU.
- Same Design, Same Operating Principle: Uniform design and user interface across the Polytron 8000 series, reducing training and maintenance needs. Large backlit display shows status information clearly, with colored LEDs for additional alarms and status information. Operated with a magnetic wand over contact surfaces.
- Three Relays for External Equipment Control: Optional integrated relays enable use as an independent gas detection system with two adjustable concentration alarms and one fault alarm. Can control local devices without additional cables.
- Safe, Robust Housing for Various Applications: Explosion-proof enclosure rated Class I, Div. 1, available in aluminum or stainless steel. Protection type “e” version with docking station allows installation in hazardous areas without running conduit, facilitating pre-assembly.
- Remote Sensor Capability: Allows sensor installation separately from the transmitter for hard-to-reach locations, with display at eye level. Intrinsically safe connection means no conduit cabling needed and allows ‘hot replacement’ in hazardous areas.
- Data Logger: Records measuring and event data from past years.
