The Drager Flame 1750 H₂ (IR3) is a state-of-the-art triple infrared (IR) flame detector designed specifically for detecting hydrogen-based fires. It boasts a rapid response time, detecting hydrogen flames within five seconds at a distance of up to 40 meters. The detector’s three IR sensors operate in the 2 to 4 µm range, which minimizes false alarms caused by hot CO₂ or welding activities. It meets the IEC 61508 safety integrity requirements for SIL 2, ensuring high reliability. The Flame 1750 H₂ is also equipped with HART and RS-485 interfaces, making it easy to integrate into existing systems.
Its robust and weatherproof housing allows operation in extreme temperatures ranging from -50°C to +85°C. Additionally, the built-in Advanced Optical Verification (AOV) feature automatically checks the device’s electronics and optics. The three-color LED indicator provides a quick status check: green for normal operation, yellow for errors, and red for fire alarms.
