With a built-in memory containing all calibration and configuration information, the sensor ships pre-calibrated and ready for immediate operation.
The Polytron 5100 EC is part of the Drager Polytron 5000 series, ensuring uniform operation with reduced training and maintenance requirements. Its backlit display shows status information clearly, and colored LEDs provide additional alarm and status information. - Uniform design and operation: As part of the Polytron 5000 series, the 5100 shares the same design and user interface, reducing training and maintenance efforts. Its backlit display shows gas concentrations, units, and status, with colored LEDs (green, yellow, red) providing alarm and status indications.
- Integrated relays: Optional integrated relays allow the 5100 to function as a standalone gas detection system, controlling devices like alarms or signal lights without additional cabling to a central controller.
- Rugged housing: The explosion-proof enclosure, available in aluminum or stainless steel, is Class I, Div. 1 rated for hazardous environments. A protection type “e” version with a docking station supports quick and safe installation.
- Remote sensor capability: The optional remote sensor housing lets you place sensors closer to gas sources while keeping the display accessible. The intrinsically safe connection enables easy sensor replacement without conduit cabling.
