The Simplex TrueAlarm 4098-9754 Multi-Sensor Detector is an intelligent addressable fire detection device designed to provide early warning of fire conditions in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, hospitals, and other critical environments. It combines TrueAlarm photoelectric smoke sensing with a fast-acting thermal sensor in a single detector assembly. Using photoelectric technology to monitor smoke activity and thermistor technology to measure temperature changes, the detector provides multiple sensing inputs for improved fire detection. Its TrueSense technology correlates smoke and heat information to help identify developing fire conditions earlier than either sensing method alone.
The 4098-9754 communicates sensor information digitally to compatible Simplex fire alarm control panels through IDNet communication. The control panel evaluates the smoke and thermal data and supports configurable detection modes, including fixed-temperature heat detection, rate-of-rise detection, photoelectric smoke detection, and TrueSense correlation. It is designed for use with compatible Simplex systems, including the 4007ES, 4010ES, 4100ES, and 4100U panels. The detector requires a compatible sensor base, with available options depending on the installation requirements. It supports individual device monitoring and system maintenance through the connected fire alarm control panel.
