Their low-profile, swept-back design enhances comfort and field of vision while maintaining a lightweight and well-balanced fit. Easy to install with a simple quarter-turn, these filters simplify inventory needs by working across multiple mask types. Built for flexibility and performance, they help reduce breathing resistance while offering strong protection against many gases and vapours.

Designed for durability and breathability, 3M Bayonet Gas & Vapour Filters use activated carbon particles to adsorb contaminants, with optimized internal geometry, particle size, and carbon bed layering for longer service life. These filters are CE-approved and offer protection based on the selected model against a wide variety of hazardous gases and vapours. For selecting the appropriate respirator and determining filter change-out schedules, users can utilize the 3M Select and Service Life Software, which covers over 700 chemicals. These filters are not suitable for IDLH environments or areas with high airborne particulate levels unless paired with a 3M 5000 Series Particulate Filter and 501 Retainer. Replace filters as per a documented schedule or sooner if contaminants can be smelled, tasted, or cause irritation.
